Men’s Soccer to Face Archrival Warner

BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International University men's soccer makes the short trip to Lake Wales, Wednesday, October 7 to take on heated rival Warner at 7 p.m.  

Last Time Out
The Warriors went 0-1-1 in two tough Sun Conference games last week.

Webber International first hosted No. 8 Thomas. The Warriors pushed the Night Hawks to the limit but eventually fell, 5-4.

In the second game of the week, Webber International welcomed SCAD. In a tough physical battle, the Warriors drew the Bees, 1-1, with multiple chances just inches away from securing a game winner for Webber International.

The Rivalry
This matchup has been tightly contested since the two programs started facing each other on the soccer pitch. Since 2010, the series is 5-4-1 in favor of Warner.

The last 10 matches have seen 29 total goals, 14 scored by the Warriors and 15 scored by the Royals.

Neither team has swept the season series since 2012.

Last season the teams split the series. In the first game, Webber International was victorious, 3-2, in overtime. The two teams closed the 2014 regular season in Lake Wales, with Warner coming out on top 3-1.

About Warner
The Royals are 0-7-1 this season with a 0-4 mark in the Sun Conference. Warner opened the season with a draw against Florida National. Since then the Royals have lost seven-consecutive matches.

The Royals have seen balance on offense, with six goals and six assists all registered by different players.
