Football Heads North to Take on Southeastern

BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International University football is back in action, Saturday, October 31 at 7 p.m. in a Sun Conference road match up against Southeastern.

Last Time Out
The Warriors are coming off a convincing victory over Ave Maria, last Saturday.

Webber international ran 22 plays, used up nearly 10 minutes of clock and scored two touchdowns in the first quarter, while shutting out Ave Maria. Brendan Deshields picked up his first touchdown of the day after leading a nine-play 40-yard drive.

The second quarter saw much of the same. The Warriors again used the run game to control the clock and stifled the Gyrenes on defense. Deshields found the end zone for a second time to put the Webber International ahead, 21-0. Darius Page scored as well, sending Webber International into half time with a commanding 28-0 lead.

Ave Maria showed life in the third quarter, scoring their only touchdown and keeping the Warriors out of the end zone.

Webber International's defense responded in the final quarter, limiting Ave Maria to just 55 total yards and no touchdowns. Deshields collected his third touchdown in the fourth, securing Webber International's 35-7, victory.

The Unstoppable Force
Through seven games, Webber International's rushing offense ranks among the best in the nation.

The Warriors' 2030 yards on the ground this season ranks No. 9 in the NAIA.

Webber International boasts one of the nation's top rushers in Page, who ranks 8th in the NAIA. Page has racked up 875 yards on the ground and crossed the goal line 12 times, while running mate Deshields has rushed for 512 yards off his own.

The Warrior quarterbacks have also been dangerous on the ground. Billy Pavlock has rushed for 223 yards and four touchdowns, while Garry Chouloute has run for 256 yards and six touchdowns.

About Southeastern
The Fire are 4-2 this season, with a 3-1 mark in the Sun Conference. Southeastern saw a four-game win streak end at the hands of Point University, 66-34.

The Fire own the top offense in the Sun Conference, leading in total offense and scoring offense per game. Running back Jarrell Reynolds, who has rushed for a conference-best 880 yards.
