LAKELAND, Fla. – Webber International University volleyball made the short trip to Lakeland, Tuesday, to take on Southeastern, falling to the Fire, 3-1.

The Warriors came out strong, taking the first set. Webber International took its first lead at 3-2 and never trailed after. The Warriors weathered multiple Fire runs but stood strong to take the set, 25-23.

The second set saw Southeastern push back. The Warrrios held the lead twice in the set but eventually fell, 25-19. The third set was plagued by errors for the Warriors, seeing the Fire take the set, 25-17.

Webber International fought hard in the fourth set, trying to fend off defeat. The two teams traded points throughout, bring the score to 19-16, in favor of the Fire. Southeastern would then go on to win the next five points, winning the set, 25-17, and the match, 3-1.

The Warriors are back in action, Saturday, October 31 against archrival Warner.
