Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International University volleyball hosted Keiser, Friday night. After four sets, the Warriors had fallen to the Seahawks, 3-1. Kaley Cox registered 12 kills for the Warriors, Sophie Rossard registered 33 assists and Katie Schueman scored six aces.
Webber International took an early lead, going ahead 7-4. Keiser pushed back eventually taking a 17-11 lead. The two teams traded points the rest of the set with the Seahawks coming out on top, 25-18.
Kesier controlled the second set, jumping out to a 10-1 lead. The Warriors were undeterred, cutting the Seahawk advantage to 20-12. Unfortunately the lead was too much for Webber International, eventually dropping the set, 25-14.
Facing defeat, The Warriors stood strong to take the third set. Webber International controlled the entire set, trailing only once. The Warriors scored 14 kills and four services aces on its way to a 25-19 win, bring the score to 2-1.
The fourth set was tightly contested, seeing Webber International never trailing by more than five. Down 21-15, the Warriors mounted a comeback, winning six of the next nine points. Unfortunately, it was not enough as the Warriors lost the set, 24-21, and the match, 3-1.
The Warriors are back in action, Tuesday, October 27 in a conference road match against Southeastern.
