WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Webber International University Warriors traveled to West Palm Beach to face off against #17 Northwood University Seahawks. The Warriors fought hard throughout the entire game and held on at the end to win 69-68.
In the first half the Seahawks started out on fire outscoring the Warriors in the first half 33-29. The Warriors came out of the locker room determined to pull out the win. The Warriors fought very hard in the second half and gained the lead with 7:54 remaining to play. The Seahawks fought back to gain the lead with 17 seconds left to play 68-67. The Warriors
Brian Pace hit the game winner with 4 seconds left to play, 69-68.
Leading the Warriors on the court were:
Jovany Deceus with 16 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks;
Brian Pace with 15 points, six rebounds, five assists, and one steal;
Dewaine Lyals 15 points, four rebounds, and one block; and
Raymond Durant with 10 points, three rebounds and two steals.
The Warriors record improves to 7-10 overall and 4-1 in The Sun Conference.
Webbers' men's basketball team returns to action on Saturday, January 17
th at 7:00 p.m. in Daytona Beach against the Embry Riddle Eagles.
