Lady Warriors Take Down Lady Night Hawks, 80-58

BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University Lady Warriors hosted conference opponent Thomas University Lady Night Hawks in the Sabbagh Athletic Center starting at 2:00 p.m. WIU won the game with a final score of 80-58.
 
Leading the Lady Warriors on the court were: #2 Laquandra Brazill with 13 points, 8 rebounds, one block and assist; #24 Yessenia Lora with 19 points, four rebounds and five assists; #25 Sarah Dileonardo with a double-double scoring 11 points and having 11 rebounds. #12 Sahakera Wilson with 14 points and 5 steals.
 
After the game all of the Lady Warrior seniors where honored they were:
Cristal Liriano- Transferred From FAMU and Played part of Season due to injuries. Cristal is Native New Yorker and an excellent 3 pt shooter and will graduate in Fall.
 
#25 Sarah Dileonardo-Sarah is being escorted today By her parents Linda and Joe. This is Sarah 3rd year at Webber and Graduated last May with her Bachelors in Business and is currently working on her MBA and Holds a 4.0 gpa. Sarah was team MVP her sophomore team and team captain all 3 years at Webber.
 
#22 Samantha Harvey- She is be escorted by her parents Mary and Samuel . Samantha is in her 4th year at Webber and is graduating in May with Business sports management degree and a minor in CIS. Samantha has lettered 3 years  and has been great asset to the team in several capacities.
 
#3 Alishia Kahan- Escorted by her parents Darsell and Willie. Alishia is in her 2nd year at Webber and will Graduate in May with a Degree in sports business Management. Alishia hold a 3.3 gpa and is Team Captain and has started for 2 years and selected to the Sun Conference All  Conference tournament team last year after averaging 12 ppg in the last 3 games of season.
 
#23 Jasmine Singleton- Escorted by Civi and Marlon. Jasmine is in her second year at Webber and will graduate in May with a degree in Business Sports Management. Jasmine was selected to the Sun Conference All-tournament team last year after hitting a 3 pt shot in the semifinals to send Webber to the Championship.
 
#24 Yesenia Lora- Escorted by her parents Jose and Donna. Yese is in her 2nd year at Webber and will graduate in May with a Degree in Business. Yesehas averaged 17 PPG in her career at Webber and 6 rebounds, was selected 1st Team All-Sun Conference, Team MVP, MVP of Sun Conference Tournament and has been selected Sun Conference Player of the week 3 times in her career.
 
 
The Lady Warriors record improves to 13-11 overall and 10-6 in The Sun Conference.
 
The Lady Warriors will return to action hosting the first round of The Sun Conference Tournament on Tuesday, February 25th at 7:00 p.m.
