LAKELAND, Fla. – The Webber International University Lady Warriors volleyball team traveled to Lakeland to face off against Southeastern University Lady Fire in the opening round of The Sun Conference Volleyball Championships. The Lady Warriors extinguished the Lady Fire 3-2 (20-25, 25-20, 23-25, 25-23, 15-10) and will advance to the semifinals.
The Lady Warriors were lead on the court by; Breanna Bissel with 17 kills and 13 digs;
Karimah Hay with 17 Kills and six digs;
Anitaka Knight with 13 kills;
Sydney Slater with 31 assists, six digs, and four kills;
Sabina Gerard with 19 assists and two digs; and
Michelle Calderon with one ace.
Webber's record improves to 16-15 overall.
The Lady Warriors will return to action in Miami as they face off against St. Thomas University on Friday November 14
th starting at 7:00 p.m.
