BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International University hosted conference double-header for the men's and women's basketball teams against Florida Memorial University at 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 23
rd in the Sabbagh Athletic Center.
The games began at 5 p.m. as the Lady Warriors took the court against the Lady Lions. WIU took a 10 point lead into half time, and smothered the lions with a final score of 71-49.
Leading the Lady Warriors on the court were #02, forward,
Laquandra Brazill, with 21 total points, including 8 field goals, 5-5 free throws, and 8 rebounds; and #24, forward,
Yesenia Lora, with 22 total points, 9 field goals, 3 free throws, and 9 rebounds.
The Lady Warriors improved their score to 8-2 overall and 5-2 in The Sun Conference. The Lady Lions record falls to 0-13 overall and 0-7 in The Sun Conference.
After a short break the men's basketball teams took the court to end the conference double header. The Warriors were trailing at half time 33-17 and never regained the lead. The Lions won 82-68.

Aaron Terry, with 11 total points, including 2 field goals, 7-8 free throws, 3 steals, and 14 rebounds; and #04, guard, Nate Morrell with 10 total points, including 4 field goals, 2 free throws, 2 steals, and 4 rebounds.
The Warriors men's and women's teams will return to action on Saturday, January 25
th as they travel to Thomasville, GA, to face off against Thomas College, starting at 4 p.m.
