Warriors Men’s Soccer Defeat Crooked Lake Rivals Warner, 3-0

Box Score LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Webber International University Warriors men's soccer team traveled across Crooked Lake to face off against their rivals Warner University Royals in the first game of the Crooked Lake Cup which started at 7:00 p.m. The Warriors would be too much for the Royals to handle as they won this very important first rivalry game 3-0.
 
In the first half of the game it was all Webber as they scored the first goal within the first five minuets of the game. The Warriors #11 Craig Hughes would play the ball over the top of the defense to assist #19 Fabian Egger's first goal of the game. Twenty minuets latter Webber's #11 Craig Hughes would assist #19 Fabian Egger for the second goal on a transition. The Warriors defense would hold Warner to eight shots in the first half and only two of those would have to be saved by the Warriors goalie #32 Brandon Stout. The Warriors would go into the half with a 2-0 lead.
 
In the second half the Warriors #19 Fabian Egger would get a hat trick scoring his third goal of the game unassisted at 59:15, 3-0 Warriors on top. After that goal the Warriors played conservative the rest of the game taking two more shots in the half. The Warriors defense was very busy keeping the Royals at bay only allowing 10 shots and the Warriors goalie #32 Brandon Stout would have to make another two saves.
  
The Warriors were lead on the field by Fabian Egger who scored a hat trick with three goals and Brandon Stout who shutout the Royals offense.
  
The Warriors improve to 2-0 overall for the season and the Royals fall to 1-1 overall.
  
Webber International University's men's soccer team will return to action on September 10th as they travel to Clearwater to faceoff against Clearwater Christian College starting at 6:30 p.m.
