Great Day for Lady Warriors During Warriors Tri-Match

| Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Lady Warriors hosted their annual Warriors Tri-Match where Milligan College, Ave Maria University and Webber International University faced off against each other in a round robin tournament.

The first match of the event was against Milligan College and Ave Maria University. The match would go the distance, five games, before Ave Maria University would get the win, 3-2. Ave Maria started off strong winning the first two game 26-24 and 26-24. Then Milligan would win the next two games 25-16 and 25-22. The last game which only went to 15 points was won by Ave Maria with a final of 15-13. Both teams played very hard.

Leading on the court for Milligan College were; Kylie Whaley who went 19 kills on 33 attempts and Jessica Davenport with 46 assists and 17 digs.

Leading on the court for Ave Maria were; Hayley Wonka who got 14 kills on 47 attempts and had 26 digs; Briana Jackson had 22 assists and Marian DeTar had 20 assists.

Milligan College's record fell to 0-2 overall and Ave Maria's record improved to 1-0 overall.

The Lady Warriors would then face off against Milligan College in the second match. The Lady Warriors would make quick work of Milligan by sweeping them in three games 3-0; 25-20, 25-16, 25-20.

Leading on the court for Milligan were; Kylie Whaley who got 7 kills on 13 attempts, Jessica Davenport who had 10 assists and Kaitlyn Round had 14 digs.

Leading on the court for Webber were; Taylor Eiken who got 17 kills on 36 attempts, Jessika Hester who got 7 kills on 14 attempts, Katie Lindstrom who got 40 assists; and Hayley Bennett who had 11 digs.

Webber's record improved to 1-0 overall and Milligan College's record fell to 0-3 overall.

After another short break Webber would take on Ave Maria for the final match. Webber would start off strong winning the first two games, 25-22 and 25-20. Ave Maria would win the third game 28-26. Then Webber would win the match by winning the fourth game 25-23.

Leading on the court for Ave Maria were; Ashley St. Hubin with 9 kill 2 errors on 18 attempts, Brianna Jackson with 27 assists and Hayley Wonka with 18 digs.

Leading on the court for Webber were; Taylor Eiken who got 18 kills 8 errors on 47 attempts, Katie Lindstrom who had another 40 assist game, and Hayley Bennett who got 15 digs.

Ave Maria's record fell to 1-1 overall and Webber's record improved to 2-0 overall.

The Webber International University Lady Warriors will return to action on Wednesday, August 28th at 2:00 p.m. when they host #21 Eastern Oregon. Come out and support your undefeated Lady Warriors in this very important early season match.
