LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Webber International University Lady Warriors traveled to Warner University to play in the quarter finals of The Sun Conference Volleyball Championships. The Lady Warriors would sweep the Lady Royals off the court with an impressive 3-0 win advancing to the semifinals where they will face the regular season champions Embry-Riddle.
The Lady Warriors were all business as they traveled across Crooked Lake to face off against Conference rival Warner Lady Royals. The Lady Warriors would take control of the match right off the bat as they won the first set 25-16. Then in the second set the Lady Royals would pull away from the Lady Warriors almost winning the second set. The Lady Warriors would rally and come from behind and win the set 27-25. Then after the short break the Lady Warriors would take control of the third set gaining a eight point cushion and would cruse to victory 25-14. The Lady Warriors won the match 3-0 over the Lady Royals.
Leading the Lady Warriors on the court were: #10
Katie Lindstrom with 32 assists, 13 digs and 3 kills on 8 attempts ; #11
Taylor Eiken with 7 kills on 19 attempts and 8 digs; #24
Shauna Brown with 8 kills on 25 attempts and 16 digs; #6
Jessika Hester with 7 kills on 20 attempts and 5 digs; and #8 Michelle Einzinger with 5 kills on 9 attempts.
The Lady Warriors improve to 18-11 overall and the Lady Royals fall to 15-11 overall.
The Lady Warriors will return to action on November 15
th as they travel to Daytona Beach to face off against the regular season champions Embry-Riddle Lady Eagles in the Semifinals of The Sun Conference Championship.
