Warriors Fall to Night Hawks, 2-1

BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University Warriors men's soccer team hosted conference opponent Thomas University Night Hawks on Webber Field in a very important conference game. Both teams came into the match unbeaten in conference play 2-0. The Night Hawks would out shoot the Warriors which would ultamatly get them the win, 2-1.
 
The Warriors came into the match looking to keep their perfect season streak rolling and would find themselves on defense most of the game. The Night Hawks would score the first goal in the 42nd minute of the first half, 1-0. After the half the Night Hawks would be the first to find the back of the net again scoring in the 77th minute of the game, 2-0. The Warriors would respond with a header from Fabian Egger assisted by Callum Donnelly bringing the Warriors back in the game, 2-1. The Warriors would not be able to tie the Night Hawks and would lose with a final score of 2-1.
 
The Night Hawks would shoot the ball 26 times with 14 of them being on goal. Brandon Stout the Warriors goalie would save 12 of the shots on goal. The Warriors on the other hand would shoot the ball 14 times with four of them being on goal.
 
The Warriors will return to action on Sunday, October 6th as they host another conference opponent SCAD-Savannah. The match is set to kick-off at 2:00 p.m. on Webber Field across from the WIU Campus.
