BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International Men's Basketball team redeemed themselves tonight with a conference win over Johnson and Wales University on last second shot. The final score was 70-69.

It was senior forward Jakeem Hill that made the game winning basket from an inbound play with less than one minute remaining in regulation. The Wildcats had one final shot to win the game that hit the back iron of the basket to gave WIU the win.

Gabriel Rutledge tallied his first double-double of the season with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Jakeem Hill added a game high 22 points to go along with 4 rebounds and 2 blocks. But, it was the big plays from sharp shooter Tyler Auerbacher that enabled WIU to stay close. Auerbacher was clutch in the second half from the free throw line connecting on all four of his attempts. He finished the game with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals.

With the win, the Warriors improve to 8-7 overall and 3-2 in conference play. Johnson and Wales drop to 9-8 overall and 1-4 in conference. The Warriors will return to action January 12, 2013 at home against Northwood University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
