Box Score  BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Warriors won tonight in the battle of Polk County rival schools to defeat Warner University for the second time this season by the final score of 68-64.

The game lived up to the hype that fans anticipated. The Royals game out the gates scoring the first 11 points. Coach John Shoffner was forced to call an early timeout to regroup his players. WIU responded with a 7-0 run to cut the led to 4 points. The game was a tug of war for the first half as both teams played with intensity as expected. The Warriors went into the half down 4 points after a buzzer 3 point shot from Warner's Bryce Kachinski. The score at the half was 34-30.

The second half was one to watch as Brian Pace took matters into his own hands by carrying the team on his back since Jakeem Hill was in early foul trouble.  Reliable sharp shooter Tyler Auerbacher struggled for the most part of the game but he was able to make big plays at the end of the game when his team needed him most. Auerbacher made clutch free throw late in the game to put the Warriors up 5 points with 1:34 left in regulation. Gabriel Rutledge recorded yet another double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds. He continues to climb up the all-time rebounding lost for the Warriors. But it was Brian Pace led the Warriors once again with his offense and play making ability. Pace finished the game with 21 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists.  Tyler Auerbacher chipped in with 14 points to go along with 7 rebounds.

With the win the Warriors are now .500 for the season with a 10-10 record overall. They also improve to 6-4 in The Sun Conference. Next for the Warriors will be Southeastern University on January 30th, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. The game will be played on
