Vicente Munoz but it ended up hitting the side post and going in. The fans and the Warriors bench went crazy and ran on the field to celebrate with their team mate.
“I am really happy with the performance of my players, we were a little sluggish for the first 10 minutes but we eventually got into our rhythm. Even though we had several chances, the boys never gave up and fought hard on the field. I am especially happy for Javier Zorro because his grandmother passed away the night before the game and the entire team wore pink tape around their arms in respect to Zorro and his family, that is the type of team we are this year, we have just got to continue doing what we have been doing.”
The Warriors improve their record to 2-0 for the season and Warner's record falls to 1-1.
The Warriors named Stephen Mcginn as the man of the match.
The Warriors will return to action on September 9
th as they travel to Laurinburg, N.C. to take on St. Andrews University at 2:00 p.m.
