Second Half Comeback Helps LWC To Overcome The Lady Warriors

BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International University Women's Basketball team fall to the visiting Blue Raiders 57-70 in an intense non conference match up.
 
The first half was a defensive struggle.  WIU went into the locker room with a one-point lead. The score at half time was 22-21.The Lady Warriors shot 30% for the half while the visiting Blue Raiders shot 22%.
 
The second half was a different ball game as LWC came out as the more aggressive team both on offense and defense.  LWC 22-12 second half run gave the visiting team more breathing room as they cruised on to win the game. In that run, #31 Kasey Litzinger went 3 for 3 behind the arc for the Blue Raiders.
 
Leading the way for the Warriors was Yesenia Lora with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Senior combo guard Erin Henry added 12 points and Sarah Dileonardo chipped in with 11 points and 4 rebounds.
 
The Lady Warriors return to action December 20, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. when they host Mt. Vernon Nazaren on the campus of WIU. Their overall record is 2-5.
