Webber Men’s Soccer Returns With a Loss and Tie

BABSON PARK, Fla. – The WIU Men's Soccer team went on the road this weekend to play in two conference games against Thomas University and Savannah College of Arts and Design. The first game saw a match up against the # 1 team in the conference Thomas University. The Warriors loss with the final score of 0-2 to the Night Hawks. WIU was out played while Thomas University was the more aggressive team attempting 28 shots at the goal compared to WIU's 6 shots at the goal. Goal keeper Brandon Stout had 7 saves for the Warriors.

The second match up of the weekend took place in Savannah, Ga. There the Warriors took on SCAD in another conference clash but this time they managed to finish the game with a tied score of 1-1. Scoring the only goal for the Warriors was Fabian Egger and he also led the Warriors with 2 shots at the goal.  WIU finished the game with 6 shots at the goal and Goal Keeper Brandon Stout had 8 saves.

The men's next game will be on Wednesday, October 3rd when they take on the visiting Johnson and Wales University here on Warriors Field at 4:00 p.m.
