Lady Warriors Fall to Ave Maria University

Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. - The Lady Warriors went into the game looking to end their losing streak as they faced off against Ave Maria University on January 6th at 7:00 p.m. but to no avail losing, 53-85.

The Lady Warriors fought hard in the first half and went into the half trailing Ave Maria University 26-42. In the second half the Lady Warriors could not make up the difference and ultimately lost the game 53-85.

Leading the Lady Warriors on the court were Sarah Dileonardo, Erin Henry, and Ciara Cox. Sarah Dileonardo scored 11 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal. Erin Henry scored 11 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. Ciara Cox scored 10 points and had 2 steals.

Leading on the court for Ave Maria University was Sandy Jenkins, Erika Derks, and Amy Myler. Sandy Jenkins scored 21 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 blocks, and 4 steals. Erika Derks scored 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists. Amy Myler scored 12 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 5 steals.

The Lady Warriors record falls to 1-13 overall and 0-1 in The Sun Conference and Ave Maria record improves to 12-3 overall and 1-0 in The Sun Conference.

The Lady Warriors return to action on Saturday, January 7, 2012, as they are hosted by the Southeastern University at 2:00 p.m.
