BABSON PARK, Fla. – The NAIA Annual Coaches VS Cancer Suits and Sneakers will be celebrated this weekend during the men's and women's home basketball games at Webber International University. The WIU basketball programs will be taking this opportunity to raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society.
Athletic Director,
Bill Heath, has announced that all gate receipts, for this weekend's games, will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Heath said there will also be a donation jar at the entrance for those that would like to contribute more.
Friday, the Lady Warriors will be hosting Crooked Lake Rivals, Warner University, at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, the action begins when the Webber Green JV team takes on Pasco-Hernando Community College at 2:00 p.m. The Webber Gold JV team plays Impact Academy at 4:30 p.m. The Warriors will finish up the day of basketball with a 7:00 p.m. tip-off against The Sun Conference opponent, Johnson & Wales University.
Admission to all games is $5.00 per person. Senior citizens and students pay $3.00 each. Concessions will be open the entire time for the convenience of all fans.
