Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Lady Warriors fell to Johnson and Wales University Saturday, January 21
th with a score of, 82-76.
The Lady Warriors took the court looking for a much needed win against Sun Conference opponent Johnson and Wales. The Lady Warriors started the game strong outscoring Johnson and Wales 43-42 in the first half. The Lady Warriors would come out in the second half and hit a dry spell giving Johnson and Wales the lead and ultimately the game with a score of 82 to the Lady Warriors 76.
Leading the Lady Warriors on the court were
Sarah Dileonardo,
Samantha Harvey, and
Jakira Robinson.
Sarah Dileonardo scored 15 points, six rebounds, one steal, and one assist.
Samantha Harvey scored 13 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
Jakira Robinson scored 12 points with two rebounds.
Leading Johnson and Wales on the court were Myia Russell and Jamika Wright. Myia Russell scored 27 points, 13 rebounds, one assist, and two steals. Jamika Wright scored 23 points and had five rebounds.
The Lady Warriors record falls to 2-17 overall and 1-5 in The Sun Conference and Johnson and Wales's record improves to 7-8 overall and 2-3 in The Sun Conference.
The Lady Warriors return to action on January 24, 2012, as they host Voorhees College from South Carolina and tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
