Victory Slips Through Lady Warriors Hands

Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Lady Warriors let victory slip through their hands when they hosted the #17  Lady Bobcats from St. Thomas University on Friday January 13, 2012.
 
The Lady Warriors came out in the first half with a great game plan that stopped the Lady Bobcats in their tracks. In the first half the Lady Warriors were 10-33 (30.3%) from the field and 4-10 (40%) from behind the arc. Giving the Lady Warriors took a four point lead into half time as they held the Lady Bobcats to 20 points. The Lady Bobcats shoot 0-6 (0%) from downtown and 6-35 (17.1%) from the field because of the Lady Warriors great defense.
 
The Lady Warriors came out in the second half with the same game plan that they had in the first half but during the half the Lady Bobcats made changes. The Lady Bobcats would take the lead with five minutes left in the game and not let it go ending the game up by ten points, 62-52.
 
The Lady Warriors were led by Samantha Harvey, Erin Henry, and Sarah Dileonardo. Samantha Harvey scored 15 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists. Erin Henry scored 12 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Sarah Dileonardo scored 10 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block, and 5 steals.
 
The Lady Warriors record falls to 1-15 overall and 0-3 in The Sun Conference and the Lady Bobcats record improves to 13-4 overall and 3-0 in The Sun Conference.
 
The Lady Warriors will return to action tomorrow Saturday, January 14, 2012, as they host Florida Memorial University with tip-off set for 2:00 p.m.
