BABSON PARK, Fla. - In their third conference match of the 2011 campaign, the Webber Warriors were defeated 5-0 by the Florida Memorial Lions.

The Lions broke the deadlock in the 14th minute, as Pablo Garcia neatly slotted the ball past Matthew Brust from 20 yards out.

After a lengthy delay due to passing lightning, the remaining twenty minutes of the first-half were played, however the scoreline remained 1-0 at the break.

Garcia also played a part in the Lions' second goal. While his powerful shot was initially dealt with by Brust, Franciso Allegro followed up to tap the ball in from close range in the 55th minute.

Garcia was once again involved in the action, this time assisting Jonathan Pires for the Lions' third goal of the game. From the edge of the Warriors' area, Pires knocked the ball into the bottom left-hand corner of the goal.

Allegro put Florida Memorial 4-0 ahead in the 72nd minute, with a beautiful 40-yard strike which sailed into the top left-hand corner of the goal.

Just three minutes later Marc Dony Duquency made it 5-0. After some brilliant one-two play with his teammate, Duquency nudged the ball in from seven yards.

Coach Cockburn said: “Despite another loss, we are still only 1-2 in the conference and have plenty of time to turn things around. I hope my players will keep their heads up and continue to fight in every game.”
The Warriors' next game is at home to Southeastern on Saturday, which will commence at 4:30pm.
