Babson Park, Fla. – The Lady Warriors went into tonight's game against the Lady Royals looking to even up the Crooked Lake Rivalry as they traveled to Warner University.
The Lady Warriors went into the half trailing by 2 points, 28-26. In the second half the Lady Warriors had a 2 point led with less than 5 seconds left on the clock. The Lady Royals then ran the ball up the court and tied the game as the buzzer sounded sending the game into overtime. In overtime the Lady Royals outscored the Lady Warriors winning the game by 3 points, 66-63.
Leading the Lady Warriors on the court was
Nikki King posting a double-double scoring 24 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 blocks, and 2 steals.
Shambrika Tomlin also assisted the Lady Warriors with 9 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.
Stacia Jo Hill and
Chelsea Shipman both posted 8 points for the Lady Warriors. The Lady Warriors new record is 4-16 overall and 3-9 in The Sun Conference. The Lady Royals improve their record to 12-15 overall and 7-5 in The Sun Conference.
The Lady Warriors return to action on February, 11th, hosted by Johnson and Wales University starting at 7:00 p.m.
