Babson Park, Fla. – The Lady Warriors came into the game looking for redemption from the loss to St. Thomas University, the night before. The Warriors fought hard in the first half and went to the locker room for half time only trailing Ave Maria University by one point, 23-22. In the second half Ave Maria outscored the Lady Warriors by 21 points which ultimately caused the Lady Warriors to lose the game by 22 points, 64-42.
Leading the Lady Warriors on the court was Nikki King with a double-double scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds. Also assisting the Lady Warriors efforts was Stacia Jo Hill with 6 points and 3 rebounds. The Lady Warriors record falls to 4-15 overall and 3-8 in The Sun Conference. Ave Maria University improves their record to 17-7 overall and 7-3 in The Sun Conference.
The Lady Warriors return to action on Tuesday, February 8, as they are hosted by their Crooked Lake Rivals the Lady Royals tip off for the game is at 7:00 p.m.
