Babson Park, Fla. - Webber International University's Men's Basketball team lost to Florida Memorial University on Tuesday, February 22, 76-71.

 

The Warriors traveled to Miami to take on Florida Memorial University in the first round of The Sun Conference Tournament. The Warriors got off to a slow start against Florida Memorial as they went into the half trailing by 18 points, 44-26. The Warriors fought hard in the second half out scoring Florida Memorial by 13 points but it was not enough to overtake Florida Memorial and the Warriors lost the game by 5 points, 76-71.

 

Leading the Warriors on the court was #4 Junior Geidi posted 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals. Also #21 Gabriel Rutledge posted a double-double scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 1 steal. #23 Marvin Williams chipped in with 13 point and 4 rebounds.

 

The Warrior's 2010-2011 basketball season officially ended after tonight's loss to Florida Memorial University. The Warriors end their season with a record of 13-15 overall and 7-10 in The Sun Conference.
