Babson Park, Fla. - Webber International University's Women's Basketball team lost to Florida Memorial University on Tuesday, February 22, 97-76.

 

The Lady Warriors traveled to Miami to take on Florida Memorial University in the first round of The Sun Conference Tournament. The Lady Warriors went into the half trailing Florida Memorial by 17 points, 48-31. The Lady Warriors fought hard in the second half but it was not enough to overtake Florida Memorial and lost the game down 21 points, 97-76.

 

Leading the Lady Warriors on the court was #45 Nikki King posting a 20-20 scoring 34 points, 20 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, and 3 steals. Also #1 Kala Alicea assisted the Lady Warriors by posting 16 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal.

 

Unfortunately, the loss to Florida Memorial University officially ends the Lady Warrior's 2010-2011 basketball season. The Lady Warriors end their season with a record of 5-19 overall and 4-11 in The Sun Conference.
