Babson Park, Fla. - Webber International University's women's basketball team was victorious over Johnson & Wales University in a Sun Conference matchup on Friday night, 72-54.
The Lady Warriors traveled to Miami in the hopes of breaking their 3 game losing streak with Johnson & Wales in their sights. The Lady Warriors came out strong in the first half as they outscored Johnson & Wales, 32-17. In the second half the Lady Warriors came out just as strong knowing that the game wasn't over until the final buzzer sounds. With a strong first half the Lady Warriors worked hard and focused on winning which allowed them to be victorious over Johnson & Wales University, 72-54.
Nikki King led the Lady Warriors on the court with a double-double scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, and 6 steals.
Chelsea Shipman posted 9 points and 7 rebounds for the Lady Warriors.

Shambrika Tomlin, and
Angelica Pennington also assisted the Lady Warriors on the court by posting 7 points each. The win tonight was a total team effort. The win improves the Warrior's record to 5-16 overall and 4-9 in The Sun Conference while Johnson & Wales record falls to 3-15 overall and 1-10 in The Sun Conference.
The Lady Warriors return home for Senior Night as they host Edward Waters College on February 18th, tipoff is at 7 p.m.
