The Eagles, who lead the nation in three-point field goals per game (13.0), have drained double digit three-pointers in four of their five games this season and now have 65 triples as a team. Eight different players made at least one trey for the Green and Blue, led by redshirt freshman Amber Rechis' (Martin, Tenn./Westview HS) career-best 6-of-11 night.
Leading Webber International 16-6 with less than 11 minutes left in the first half, the Eagles used a 30-2 run over the final 10:49 of the period to take a 46-8 lead into the intermission.
In the second half, FGCU caught fire from long range and outscored the Warriors 57-9 over the final 18:56 of the game.
Webber Int'l was limited to just 9-of-46 (19.6 percent) from the field and 1-of-8 (12.5 percent) from behind the arc in the first half.
FGCU hit 37-of-79 (46.8 percent) from the floor on the night, including 21-of-51 (41.2 percent) from long distance.
Whitney Kelly led the Warriors with 7 points, four rebounds, and a steal.
