Tars Overtake Lady Warriors

Box Score WINTER PARK, Fla. – Tars (4-1) beat Webber International 81-40 on Monday November 21, 2011evening.
 
WIU (0-5) was paced by 10 points from Samantha Harvey, while Kedejah Maple and Whitney Kelly each netted eight.
 
Berry shot 7-of-11 from the field, including four, 3-pointers, to finish just one short of her career high of 19, set last season. Freshman Sarah Taylor was a perfect 3-for-3 from long range and added 13 points while Sarah Blackburn and Tera McDaniel each netted 10. McDaniel chipped in six assists while Jasmine Cohen led the way with nine rebounds.
 
Rollins (3-1) outshot the Warriors 40 percent (27-68) to 30 percent (13-44) and gained a huge advantage on the glass, outrebounding its visitors 50-29.
 
The Tars established their supremacy early, running out to a 26-6 lead over the first 10 minutes. Webber closed the gap to 16, 33-17 with five minutes to play in the frame. Rollins, however, finished the period on a 12-3 run to take a 45-20 lead at the half.
 
A 10-0 Rollins spurt in the middle of the second half pushed the advantage to 60-25 at the 10:35 mark. The Warriors would get no closer than 31 there rest of the way while Rollins led by as much as 43 late in the game.

Lady Warriors will be back in action on Tuesday November 22, 2011 at Flagler College at 7 pm.
