Warriors lose to Lady Fire in Conference Matchup

Babson Park, Fla. – Webber International University's women's basketball team suffered a disappointing loss in a hard fought game against Southeastern Saturday afternoon, 59-52 .
From the start both teams stepped on the court in the hopes of bettering their 2-5 record in The Sun Conference. The Lady Warriors fought against a strong Lady Fire team throughout the first half and were on top by 2 points, 30-28, at half time. Both teams came out in the second half looking for the win to turn their teams luck around. The Lady Warriors lost the momentum and the led when Tori Robinson from Southeastern hit a jump shot with 12:25 left in the game. The Lady Warriors kept on fighting until the end of the game ultimately losing by 7 points, 59-52.
Nikki King led the Lady Warriors on the court against Southeastern posting a double-double 25 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Also Staci Jo Hill assisted the Lady Warriors efforts by posting 14 points, 1 rebound, and 1 steal. The Lady Warriors' record is now 3-13 overall and 2-6 in The Sun Conference. The Lady Fire's record is now 7-12 overall and 3-5 in The Sun Conference.
The Lady Warriors return to action at home on Tuesday, February 1st, against Northwood University the game starts at 7:00 p.m.
