Lady Warriors Fall to Florida Memorial University

Babson Park, Fla. – The Webber International University Lady Warriors' basketball team lost to Florida Memorial University in their second meeting this year, 80-70.  
The Lady Warriors traveled to Florida Memorial University ready to play as they took an early lead in the first half. Florida Memorial fought back and took the lead with a little over six minutes left in the first half. This resulted in Lady Warriors going into the half trailing by 3 points 38-35. In the second half Florida Memorial extended their led to 16 points over the Lady Warriors. The game ended with Florida Memorial on top by 10 points, 80-70.
Leading the Lady Warriors on the court was Nikki King posting a double-double with 20 points and 19 rebounds. King also had 3 assist, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. Also assisting the Lady Warriors on the court was Kala Alicea with 15 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 steal. Stacia Jo Hill also chipped for the Lady Warriors with 13 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal. The Lady Warriors' record is now 13-12 overall and 2-5 in The Sun Conference. Florida Memorial University's record is now 13-7 overall and 6-1 in The Sun Conference.
The Lady Warriors return to the court at home as they host Southeastern University on Saturday, January 29, starting at 2:00 p.m.
