Babson Park, Fla. - The Webber International University's men's basketball team won another conference game after defeating Florida Memorial University on Saturday night.
The win against the Lions was a total team effort for the Warriors. Going into half time the Warriors were up by 2 points, 37-35. Each team then scored an additional 42 points in the second half keeping the Warriors on top 79-77 for the win.
Leading the Warriors on the court was
Junior Geidi with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Also
Gabriel Rutledge led the Warriors by posting a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Also posting points for the Warriors was
Luke Marlar with 12 and
Marvin Williams with 10. The Warriors' record improves to 10-8 overall and 5-4 in The Sun Conference. Florida Memorial University's record moves to 8-12 overall and 4-4 in The Sun Conference.
The Warriors take the court again on Wednesday, January 26, hosted by Embry Riddle University starting at 7p.m.
