Babson Park, Fla. – The Lady Warriors defeated Trinity College in 4 matches, making them 3-1 in their overall record.
The Lady Warriors took care of business yesterday afternoon (Sept. 1st) against Trinity College. It took them 3 games (25-21, 25-12, 23-25, 25-19) to overpower the Tigers. The ladies added another victory to their overall record to go 3-1 in the start of their season and 0-0 in the Sun Conference. Leading the way was junior
Julianne Dougherty, senior
Sophie Zillmann, and freshman
Kristine Monforte.
Dougherty had 12 kills, 1 service ace, 9 digs, and 1 block assist. Zillmann had 1 kill, 10 assists, 4 serve aces, and 4 digs. Freshman, Monforte, played in all 4 games and she had 4 kills, 25 assists, 1 service ace, and 8 digs.
The Lady Warriors overall had 46 kills, 45 assists, 13 service aces, with 64 digs, and they had 3 blocks.
Webber will be hosting Ave Maria University next Friday September 10, 2010. The match will start at 7 p.m. at Sabbagh Athletic Center on WIU's campus.
