Babson Park, Fla. – The men's basketball team dropped their final home game of the regular season to the Tigers of Edward Waters College, 64-63, in a final second heartbreaker.
Going into the half the WIU led the Tigers by nine, but as the scores tied four times and both teams battling for the lead, the Tigers made one move with 1.7 seconds left on the clock that would give them the advantage and the win over the Warriors.
Leading the Warriors at the basket was Junior Geidi with 24 points. Mark Marlar and Tyrell Harper both collected 13 points apiece and Luke Marlar adding 10 points.
The Warriors will take the road for their final game of the regular season in Daytona Beach, where they will take on the Eagles of Embry-Riddle University, Saturday, February 20th, for a 7p.m. tip-off.
