Lady Warriors Coast Past Fire

Babson Park, Fla. – The Lady Warriors basketball team traveled to Lakeland last night, (Tuesday, February 16th) and took on the Fire of Southeastern University.
 
WIU defeated the Fire 85-43, improving their record to 10-13 overall and 5-7 in the conference, as the Fire fall to 9-18 on the season.
 
Throughout the first half the WIU dominated the court, leading by as much as twenty points walking into the half.
 
Holding their lead for the remainder of the game, the Warriors were once again victorious over the Fire, 85-43.
 
Ashley Butler led the team with 15 points and 2 steals. Nikki King and Malikah Tanner added with 13 points and King with 13 rebounds. As well as Angelica Pennington, adding 11 points.
 
The Warriors will play their last home game of the season, Friday, February 19th. Join the ladies as they recognize their graduating seniors while taking on the Gyrens of Ave Maria University. Scheduled tip-off is at 5 p.m.
