Lady Warrios Split Conference Games Over Weekend

Babson Park, Fla. – The Lady Warriors split conference games over the weekend versus Johnson & Wales University, Friday (February 5th) and Northwood University, Saturday (February 6th).
 
WIU defeated the Wildcats 66-39. Webber improved their record to 9-10 and 5-4 in the Sun Conference. Johnson & Wales dropped to 1-14 and 0-9 in the conference.
 
Nikki King went led the team with 14 points 11 rebounds. Stacia Jo Hill helped brining in 10 points, as Malikah Tanner and Shambrika Tomlin both added 8 points apiece.
 
Walking into their next conference game, WIU knew playing against the Lady Seahawks for another home conference win would be a well fought battle.
 
Falling behind in the first quarter by fourteen points, the Seahawks took that advantage of their lead, and claimed yet another conference win. Northwood remains undefeated in the conference improving their record to 10-0 and 18-7 overall. The Warriors drop to 9-11 and 5-5 in the conference.
 
King took in 24 points, 17 rebounds, two blocks and four steals on the night. Dione'shia Dunbar added with 13 points and 6 rebounds.
 
Webber will take the court again Friday, February 12th, as they travel to Florida Memorial University. Tip-off is scheduled for 6p.m. Following the Florida Memorial game the ladies will take on St. Thomas University at 2p.m.
