West Palm Beach, Fla. - The Warriors finished their 2010 campaign this past weekend, after losing 2-0 to the Seahawks of Northwood University.
The Seahawks were awarded a controversial penalty in the 22nd minute, after Andy Scott challenged for the ball. Despite the protests, the penalty stood, and Baldvin Olafsson smashed the ball past Brandon Stout to put the Seahawks ahead.
Although Webber had their chances, Marcus Johansson sealed the victory for Northwood in the second half.
Coach Cockburn said, “Despite the final result, it has been a great season. I am proud of how my seniors stepped up as leaders and wish them all the best for the future. I will remember this year forever, especially with it being the first time I made the Sun Conference playoffs. I must now turn my attention to the spring and take this program to new heights.”
