Babson Park, Fla. – Two Webber players landed 14 points in an exciting 75-63 home conference opener win over Florida Memorial University on Wednesday, (January 6th). Webber improves to 6-5 with the win and 1-0 in the Sun Conference. Florida Memorial drops to 2-13 and 0-1 with the loss.
Halston Schaffer and Luke Marlar led BPC in scoring with 14 points. Schaffer went 6-for-11 shooting from the field while collecting 12 rebounds. As Marlar went 3-for-5 shooting and 8-for-10 at the free throw line. Tyrell Haper also joined in collecting 12 points on the evening.
WIU will play at home again, Saturday, January 9th, in another Sun Conference match up versus the Seahawks of Northwood University. The Seahawks are currently ranked 4th in the nation with a 12-1 overall record.
