Babson Park, Fla. – The Lady Warriors bring in the new year with a Sun Conference win over Edward Waters College, 80-60, in the Sabbagh Athletic Center, Saturday January 2, 2010.
The Lady Warriors dominated the court, out shooting the Lady Tigers by 19 points at the close of the first half. Leading the Warriors in the first half was Nikki King with 12 points and 6 rebounds, and Ashley Butler and Dione'shia Dunbar both collecting 6 points apiece.
Entering the second half of the game the Lady Warriors continued to dominate the courts. Taking a twenty point lead over the Tigers, the Lady Warriors defeat Edward Waters College 80-60, in their first Sun Conference game of the season.
Nikki King led the Warriors with 22 points, 16 boards and 6 blocks. Ashley Butler also collected 22 points with 7 rebounds.
The Warriors are now 5-6 overall and 1-0 in the conference. They will travel to Miami, January 8th, where they will take on Johnson and Wales University for a 2p.m. conference tip off.
