King's Double-Double Leads Lady Warriors Past the Fire

BABSON PARK, Fla. - Led by Nikki King's double-double performance, the Lady Warriors extinguished the Southeastern University Fire Friday night (Dec, 4) at the Sabbagh Athletic Center.

The Lady Warriors (3-4) were in the lead for the entire game, having a 16 point advantage against the Fire going into halftime intermission with a score of 35-19. 

King, who was named The Sun Conference Player of the Week earlier  on Monday, November 30th, continues to rack up her stats in both points and rebounds, collecting 20 points and 12 rebounds.  Senior Ashley Butler also contributed in points, scoring 11 and starting freshman Chelsea Shipman with six.  Dione'shia Dunbar led WIU with four assists and also tabbed on eight rebounds.

The Lady Warriors will be in action on December 18th, as they get set to take on Judson College at the Sabbagh Athletic Center.  Tipoff is set for 6:00 pm.
