The Lady Warrior women's volleyball team got set to take on two different teams on Friday (Oct. 30), Florida College and Ave Maria University.  WIU split up their team, as half traveled down to Naples to take on the Gyrenes of Ave Maria for a conference game, and the other half went down the road to Frostproof High School to take on Florida College.

WIU took a tough loss against Florida College, who defeated the Lady Warriors in four sets (17-25, 22-25, 25-23, 18-25).  Florida College improved their record to 24-25, while this loss dropped WIU to 20-7 overall.

As for the other half of the WIU volleyball team, they defeated Ave Maria in four sets (25-18, 22-25, 25-16, 25-23).  This wins improves the Lady Warriors record to 21-7 overall and 11-4 in The Sun Conference, while the Gyrenes drop to 8-13 overall and 6-11 in TSC.

WIU's next match will be Tuesday, November 3rd, as they travel to take on Clearwater Christian College at 7:00 pm.  Mark your calendars though, because Friday, November 6th, is WIU's next home game against St. Thomas University, which they volleyball team will celebrate their seniors for Senior Night.
