Warriors Move Into Semi-Finals

BABSON PARK, Fla. - Webber International University women's basketball team defeat Warner Southern College 55-44 in the quarter-finals (Feb. 21st).  The Warriors will now move into the semi finals (Feb. 22nd) to take on the Bees of Savannah College of Art and Design.

The game started out in the Royals favor with a three point opener by Ivana Soberal.  The Royals held a two point lead until about nine minutes left in the game and the Warriors take the lead at the free through line.  As the first half comes to a close the Warriors maintain an eight point lead 24-16.
 
Leading in the second half by ten the Warriors were determined to take home another Webber versus Warner win but the Royals fought back and tied the score 40-40 with 5:28 remaining in the quarter.  As the pushed to break the tie they once again up themselves six points ahead with less than two minutes remaining in the game. 
 
With a 50-44 lead for the Warriors and 00:57 remaining on the clock the Royals foul to slow down the clock and the Warriors take home the win 55-44.
 
Lead the Warriors were #Ashley Gabbert# with six points, four rebounds, and two assist.  Also contributing with five points a piece where #Jardae Robinson#, #Adrienne Iannone# and #Ciarra Carter#.
 
The Warriors will face of the Bees of Savannah College and Design at a 7 p.m. tip off, to determine who will proceed to the championship game, (Feb. 23), Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.
