Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, and now a native of Orlando, Florida, Michelle Calderon was named Assistant Director of Athletics in March 2019. Calderon, who also works as an assistant women's volleyball and beach volleyball coach at Webber, first joined the Warriors' athletics administration as a graduate assistant in February 2018.
A four-year varsity starter on the Warriors' indoor volleyball team, Calderon finished her impressive career as a two-time NAIA All-American, two-time AVCA Southeast Region Libero of the Year and was the three-time Sun Conference Libero of the Year. She was also named to the all-region team three times and was a four-time all-conference honoree.
Calderon helped lead the Warriors' indoor volleyball team to back-to-back Sun Conference Tournament Championships and back-to-back appearances in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round in the fall of 2016 and 2017; and in the spring of 2017, Calderon and the Warriors were crowned the Rox Small College National Champions on the beach circuit.
After graduating with her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Webber in the fall of 2017, Calderon is now studying for her MBA in accounting.
