Katelyn Moore begins her third year as Webber International University's Head Cheer & Dance Coach in 2020-21.
Coach Moore came to Webber in November 2018 and began her first year coaching during the 2019-20 academic year. It was in January of 2020 that Webber Cheerleading made history as a first year competitive cheerleading program by advancing to the finals and finishing in the top-eight during their first trip to the Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) College Nationals.
Moore, a Syracuse, New York, native, first came to Webber with over 18 years of cheerleading experience and six years of experience at the collegiate level.
A stellar collegiate cheerleader, Moore cheered for the nationally-ranked college competition cheerleading team at Elmira College (Elmira, NY.) as a four-year letterwinner. In addition to helping the Soaring Eagles finish third in All-Girl Division-III at the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) College Nationals each year, Moore was also a three-time All-American and as a senior, was named STUNT All-American and Elmira College Female Athlete of the Year. Academically, Moore was recognized as an NCA Collegiate All-American as a junior and as a senior (2016 and 2017) at Elmira.
After graduating from Elmira College in June of 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and public affairs, Moore accepted a full-time position as the Assistant Cheer Coach at Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania, a role she filled until December 2017.
In January 2018, Moore was named the Head Cheer Coach at SUNY Oswego (Oswego, N.Y.), where her team place 10th in the nation at nationals. She was also the Head Cheer Coach at Liverpool High School in Liverpool, New York, beginning in June 2018 while also working at Oswego.
