BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International University was hired Holly Parnell as its newest cheerleading coach, announced athletic director Bill Heath.
Parnell, a Winter Haven, Fla. native, has been involved with cheerleading her whole life.
She was a four-year member of the varsity cheer squad at Lake Region High School. She also cheered collegiately for one season at Polk State College.
After one year at Polk State, Parnell transferred to Webber International. Parnell was a varsity tennis player for the Warriors but was also involved with cheer during him time at Webber International. In 2013, she graduated with a BA in Sports Business Management.
Parnell would go on to coach after graduation but most recently opened a competitive cheer and tumble gym in her hometown, Excel Athletics. Excel Athletics is currently in its first competitive season and performing well.
Tryout dates will be released in the coming months.
