Baseball Wraps Up Fall Workouts

BABSON PARK, Fla. - The Warriors baseball team wrapped up their fall semester workouts with a fall series. This year, Webber Baseball had three teams, Green, Gold and Gray, all of which were competing for the fall title.  The gray team was coached by a newcomer, Steven Crabtree, Green was coached by Jay Culver and Gray was coached by Tito Carrillo. The Gray team won the fall series with a 4-1 record while the Green team went 4-2, and the Gold team went 0-6. The top hitters in the fall series were Shane McIntyre (Gray), Carlo Galluccio (Gold), and Josh Longbreak (Green). Leading the way for the pitchers were Gray's Chaz Ablen and Rob Lane each going 2-0, and Green's Ryan O'Gara went 2-1 during the series.

“I am pleased with the way fall workouts went”, said Head Coach Brad Neithammer, “We are definitely looking forward to a successful spring season”. The Warriors open up the 2012 season, hosting The Sun Conference All-star game on January 21st, 2012 at 1:00pm and the regular season begins on January 28th, 2012 against Warner University for a noon double header.
