The bowling program prides itself on excellence on and off the lanes and has a tradition of excellence in the classroom. In the 2010-11 season, 11 WIU bowlers earned Academic All-American honors. And, the men's team was the third highest team GPA of 3.26 (of 21 sport programs at WIU). In Spring 2010, the men's combined GPA was 3.16 and the women's team was 3.0.
