BABSON PARK, Fla – The Webber International University Warrior's track and field team competed in the 63rd annual Men's and 34th annual Women's National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Outdoor Track and Field National Championships, held on May 22-24, 2014. The event was held in Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
For the Women's championship division, Webber International University qualified four competitors including:
Breann Smith finishing 18
th in the country in the 100 meter dash in a time of 12.21;
Artisha Dawkins finishing 24
th in the country in the 200 meter dash in a time of 25.58;
Lauren Nygren finishing 29
th in the country in the 3K Steeple Chase in a time of 11:44.87; and
Charrie Dennard finishing 30
th in the country in the triple jump, despite not making a mark.
Qualifying in the Men's championship division from Webber was
Christopher Hudson finishing 17
th in the country in the triple jump with a jump of 13.85m (45-05.25).
"We are proud of the way that Artisha, Charrie, Lauren, Breann, and Chris represented our school at the national meet. We are looking forward to next year," stated Coach
