BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University men's and women's track and field team held their end of year banquet in the Yentes Center. Athletic Director,
Bill Heath, started the banquet off by welcoming the parents, guests, and the student athletes. Head Track and Field Coach, Dr. Peter Ormsby, thanked all of the parents for all of their support throughout the year. Ormsby also thanked the Strength and Conditioning coaches, Chris Weingarten, August "Auggie" Promersberger, and Brent Worsham, for getting the athletes into such great shape for the season. The Warriors had an amazing 2014 indoor and outdoor track and field season. All in attendance enjoyed the food that was prepared by the Warriors cafeteria staff as they honored their three graduating seniors and the student athletes.
The Lady Warriors sent seven athletes to the NAIA National Indoor Track & Field Championships;
Kelsey Coty, Lauren Nyugren,
Kathi Whitfield, Bre'Shea Pierce, Brann Smith, Rachel Frederick, and
Charrie Dennard.
Webber will be sending five athletes to the NAIA National Outdoor Track & Field Championships, so far;
Breann Smith,
Artisha Dawkins,
Lauren Nygren,
Charrie Dennard, and
Christopher Hudson.
