BABSON PARK, Fla. - In what is typically a quiet period around campus, Webber's track and cross country coaches attended the USTFCCCA (United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) annual convention. The convention ran Monday through Thursday (December 17-20) which returned to Orlando, Fla., for the first time since 2009 and took place at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes. This year's attendees numbered over 1200 coaches, from the Division I, II, and II ranks, while also including the NAIA, Junior College and high school.

In addition to taking part in the normal business side of the Association, Head Track Cross Country Coach Dr. Peter Ormsby and Associate Head Coach Dave Andrews participated in one of the several Track and Field Academy courses offered by the USTFCCA. Attendees of the convention were able to take in a full schedule of symposiums, technical seminars, and marquee events which included the keynote speaker Mark Lewis of the NCAA who opened the proceedings.

" It pleases me that our coaching staff is always interested in staying on top of anything that is new, technique wise or product wise, and it thrills me that they return with a high spirited attitude and excitement to implement what they have learned. Continuing education is an important tool for coaches that have the desire to be successful", stated Webber Athletic Director, Bill Heath.
